Help Equip Lay Catholics to Share
the Gospel.
The Catholic Church has consistently emphasized the indispensable role of laypeople in evangelizing the world for Jesus Christ.
This course explores the Church’s mandate and covers principles and practices for forming and equipping the laity to take on relational evangelization.
Special attention is given to formation for evangelization within parishes and other apostolates.
This two-credit summer course will be offered in a hybrid format, combining online learning with in-person class sessions at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. In-person classes will take place on Wednesdays from 6:00–7:50 p.m. in Room 111. The course will run from May 11, 2026, through June 24, 2026.
Through guided instruction and discussion, participants will explore how relational evangelization can take place in everyday life and learn strategies for forming lay leaders who are confident in sharing their faith.
Whether you serve in parish ministry or simply want to deepen your understanding of the Church’s missionary call, this course offers practical formation for today’s evangelizing Church.
