Beginning in the Fall of 2023, Sacred Heart Major Seminary will offer in-person classes from our popular Certificate in Catholic Theology program at St. Thomas More Parish in Troy. 
What classes are being offered?
 The Certificate in Catholic Theology is our most popular program. In six classes, it gives students an overview of all of the major topics in Catholic theology. We will offer one class each semester at this satellite location.

When and Where are classes being held?

The next class, Introduction to Spirituality, will be on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. beginning January 10, 2024 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 4580 Adams Road, Troy, Michigan 48098


Who should consider these classes?

These introductory, college-level courses are perfect for parish volunteers and staff, those preparing to serve in the Church, or those who have a passion for exploring the richness of our faith at a deeper level. Students in our satellite classes include people of all ages and experiences, including those who have never taken a college course, those who have not been in a classroom for years, and those who take courses all the time.

Can I afford these classes?

Thanks to our many generous donors, Sacred Heart Major Seminary and the Archdiocese of Detroit have many scholarships, grants and other funds which, for many students, make these classes considerably more affordable than you may have imagined.
